Originally a three-story barn and later a dairy distribution center, this historic masonry complex in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood was most recently a sculpture and contemporary art workshop until it was converted to a single-family home. KBS Interior Design was integral in which pieces from their old life should transition into the new home. The clients are avid art collectors, are well-travelled, cosmopolitan, sophisticated, and desired a life of elevated simplicity. 

The unique collaboration between the client and designers was key to the success of this project. The client wanted the home to have a gallery feel and often rotates artwork from space to space. The designers were charged to create a well-traveled home curating a collection of unique appointments to complement their ever growing and changing art collection.
